Corns are circular shaped callus of dead skin that usually developed on the thin or glabrous surface, especially on the dorsal surface of toe and finger. They can also occur on the palmar or plantar skin. Corns usually occur when skin is exposed to excessive pressure or friction. It usually occurs in the feet, commonly on the tops and side of the feet, the sole of the feet and between the toes. It also occurs when your feet get pressure from the high heels and also when you wear bad quality of footwear.   1. Wear Comfortable Shoes to Prevent Corns

When you wear comfortable shoes, then chances are less to get a skin injury in your feet, as a result, no corn’s forms. Corn’s results from the pressure and friction on your toes, it can also form when you wear tight and uncomfortable shoes. One of the most important things you should keep in mind to get rid of corns that you should stay away from that footwear which creates pressure on your feet.

Try to wear socks with shoes to prevent the corns, socks are soft and work as a cushion for toe to minimize the friction and pressure on the toe. Completely avoid the high heels, especially those who have narrow endings.

  1. Pumice Stone to Get Rid of Corns

Pumice Stone is very effective to get rid of corns. It helps in removing the dead skin which is developed as protection when there is a risk of injury from footwear or pressure on the feet. It removes the hardened dead, which give you less pain and speeding recovery.

Before going to bed, sink your feet into the hot water to make it soften. Rub the corn affected skin with pumice stone. Dip a cotton ball and place it on the corn area, secure it from the tap and leave it in overnight. Next morning, remove the bandit and apply castor oil several times.   1. Baking Soda to Remove Corns

A baking soda is a natural exfoliating agent which removes the corn from the dead skin. It also helps in removing the odor and bacteria from the feet. Baking soda has anti-fungal and a properties that keep your skin germs free. It is not only good for corns; people use baking soda as a face pack to remove dead skin from the face and body. Add 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda in warm water and sink your feet in that water.

Keep your feet in the solution for 10-15 minutes and then rub the affected area with a pumice stone to get rid of corns. You can also try the other option of baking soda, mix one tablespoon of baking soda with lemon juice and water to make the paste for corns. Apply that paste on the corn affected area, covered the area with a bandage and leave it in overnight. Next morning rinse the paste with warm water and exfoliate with a pumice stone.

  1. White Vinegar Cure Corns

White vinegar is very amazing and tested remedy for corns. It is highly acidic in nature which turns the harder skin into softer and help in easily get rid of corns. Plus the anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties heal the affected area and easily removed corns.

Mix the cup of white vinegar with warm water, Dip the feet in water for 10-15 minutes and exfoliates with pumice stone. Clean the feet with a soft cloth and apply some olive oil on the feet, to keep the area moisturize and clean. Use these remedy daily until corns come out.

  1. Papaya Heal Corns

Using papaya for corn is very effective and easy remedy to remove the skin corn from its root. There are several enzymes in the papaya that stop the process of corn and remove it. Papaya heals the pain and discomfort caused by the corns. It helps in dry up and falls off faster from the skin. For effective results use raw papaya.

Cut the pieces of the papaya, crush them and extract the juice out of it. Dip the cotton ball in the juice, place the cotton ball on the corns affected area and secure it with tape. Leave it overnight. Remove the tape next morning, and exfoliate the skin with a pumice stone gently. Apply some moisturizer or olive oil on corn affected area. Repeat this remedy until corns removed.

  1. Turmeric to Get Rid of Corns

Another effective and easy remedy to cure corn is turmeric. The medicine property of turmeric has been used for ages to treat the diseases. It has amazing and powerful properties to cure corns. Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties which soothe the pain and release you from discomfort that caused by the corns.

For thick paste, heat some mustard oil in a container and add 1-2 spoon of turmeric paste to it. Stir the paste for a few minutes, then remove the container from the flames. Apply the tolerable heat paste on the corn affected area to get rid of corns. Wrap the area with a bandage after applying the paste on it and leave it in overnight. Repeat this remedy every night till the corns remove from its roots. Next morning, wash the area with warm water. Be aware, while doing this remedy, use an old bed sheet for sleeping as it can leave the stain of turmeric.

Prevent the Formation of Corns:

  • Corns are the result of constant pressure and friction, so it is important to find out the cause which creates pressure and friction and eliminate it.
  • Trim your toenails once in a week. Long nails can also cause the pressure when the toe joint push against the shoes and result in corns.
  • Trim your toenails straight using a nail cutter or filer, so that the tip of the nails doesn’t push into the toes and make sure to smooth the rough edges of the nails.
  • If you found some similar symptoms of corns before it forms, sink your feet in the warm salt water, which will prevent the formation of the corns also removes the odor and bacteria. Apply the moisturizer after cleaning the feet.
  • To get rid of corns, use footwear of your suitable size. Don’t wear footwear for just appearance. Choose a footwear which is made up of natural material like leather, that allows the breath and air flow to your feet.
